‘The Galloway Hoard: an update’

The Galloway Hoard is Scotland’s earliest Viking-age hoard, buried towards the end of the ninth century. Beyond just gold and silver it contains an unparalleled range of materials and objects, which will shed new light on this period.  Martin Goldberg of the National Museums of Scotland will discuss the first two years of the Galloway Hoard conservation and research programme and look forward to the continuation of the research programme and future display of the hoard.

Bookings via EventBrite  Bookings will cap at 100, so please cancel if you find you can no longer make it.
